The Routine Marine Story...so far (Part 2)

Around the time my dreams were getting crushed, my wife was starting on her own business venture in photography. While today she is a top tier photographer, her business started as a banner company. Watching her chase her dream and to see how she has taken risks to get from where she stared to where she is today has been incredibly inspiring and made me change my approach to starting my own business. Her journey is what made me decide to start Routine Marine.

Routine Marine was originally established in 2020 as a mobile boat servicing company. I would go to customers houses and perform the routine maintenance on their outboard engines. It was a convenient solution for the customer because it limited downtime compared to taking their boat somewhere. I built relationships with suppliers so I was able to sell parts and products to customers as well. Whenever I serviced a boat, I would order double the parts that I needed for that job to slowly up inventory. Pretty soon my garage was full of boat supplies. I decided that I needed to start selling online if I wanted the business to grow.

I started selling my products on online market places in 2021. My online sales were doing very well and my inventory kept growing. I got to the point where I was doing enough sales online to sustain the business and decided it was probably time to stop the service side of the business. I enjoyed servicing boats for customers but with a full time job and a growing family I knew it was time to move on.

Now in 2023, it's time for the next phase of Routine Marine with its own website. I'm am excited to see where the business goes from here and so grateful to everyone who has chosen to purchase their boat products from here. I hope for routinemarine.com to feel like a personal experience for customers.
