About Us

I am an avid fisherman and boater located in Southern Maryland. I enjoy fishing for rockfish in the Chesapeake Bay and casting for white perch in one of it's many tributaries. I will hit some of the local lakes to target largemouth bass and annually travel to the Shenandoah River to catch smallmouth bass. I have had the privilege of passing on my love for the water to my kids. This is my family enjoying a day out on the boat.

Here are my daughters in the wild. This was Caroline's first largemouth!

Pax Tackle started out as Routine Marine. It was originally a mobile service business. I would go to wherever a customers boat was located and perform routine maintenance and winterization on their outboard engine. Here's my Dad, Dickie, lending a hand with this 200hp Suzuki.

We would even service boats on lifts, parking my jon boat under the motor for maintenance.

With my family growing, it became difficult to balance the service schedule and a full time job. I made the decision to drop the servicing and focus on retail sales of boat engine parts and accessories. This allowed me to continue the business while being able to work at home.

My primary goal was always to have a tackle store so when the opportunity arose to start selling tackle, I went all in and changed the name to Pax Tackle. Pax Tackle still offers the great marine supplies offered from Routine Marine, but the name change emphasizes the big plans I have to expand into tackle.
