I run a youtube/insta/tiktok channel called defeat creek outdoors. You can see on my page all the bass I have caught with these urchin hooks. I am guessing that I am at a 95% land rate when I set the hook, minimum. I use a Dobyns 732 or 714 rod, which is a heavy with a good tip which allows me to cast, yet also has a good backbone....16lb fluoro and these hooks are the ticket.
